Deduct and Deposit TDS

TDS is deducted when a bill is booked or when it is paid, whichever comes first. Ziwake picks the rate for the date and the supplier's PAN — the Income-tax Act 2025 sections and payment codes from 1 April 2026 — and tracks deposits, statements and certificates. Rates are an aid; confirm with your CA.

  1. On the supplier, choose their usual TDS section (Party → TDS Section).
  2. On their bill, open TDS: the rate and amount fill in; the supplier is owed the bill less TDS.
  3. Accounts → TDS & TCS shows what to deposit each month and the due date (7th; 30 April for March).
  4. After paying the challan, tap Record a Challan with its serial, BSR code and payment code.
  5. Each quarter, download the statement data for your CA and record the certificates you issue.
